At Honda, our associates take pride in their responsibilities. A typical day for a HR Business Partner you will:
- Apply general understanding of all areas of HR programs and policies, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, HRIS, employee engagement and analysis to support the day-to-day needs of associates, assigned business units and HRBP mailbox
- Manage relationships with assigned business units and act as a business partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, mobilizing appropriate internal resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans to tackle workforce challenges such as retention, associate morale, associate development through analysis of data, sentiment gathering, etc.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on how to address performance concerns and policy concerns, and escalate situations where formal corrective action or investigations are needed to the Associate Relations team
- Collaborate and participate in project teams (pay equity, total rewards, manpower, policies, and performance mgmt.) ensuring voice of the customer is represented, balancing multiple perspectives, and optimizing processes

- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, HR certification desired
- A minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience (3 years HRBP)
- Must have in-depth HR employment law knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Dealing with conflict and empowerment to escalate
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making
