Business Info

Irvine's tourism information is coordinated through the Destination Irvine program run by the Chamber of Commerce. The program provides information on Irvine as a place to vacation and as a destination for meetings, events and other business initiatives. Irvine has been rated one of the top cities for start-up businesses and its strong, fast-growing economy helped place Orange County as one of the top ten fastest growing job markets.

Business Licensing in Irvine

admin 2018.09.09 07:34 Views : 991

The City of Irvine requires all commercial and residential businesses operating within the City to obtain and maintain an Irvine business license (Code of Ordinances Section 4-6-201).  A business license application must be submitted within 60 days of the first date of conducting business.

In accordance with the revised Business License ordinance, effective Aug. 14, 2015, there is no cost to renew or establish an Irvine business license but late fees and penalties still apply and can be paid online.

The business license requirement enables the City to maintain a database of businesses that operate within the City that is used for police emergency responses, sales tax purposes, and a multitude of demographic studies.  City of Irvine Business License representatives can be reached by email (link sends e-mail) or at 949-724-6310. The Business License desk is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
