Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist with excellent communication and customer service skills to work in our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters. Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist identifies and attracts highly qualified candidates to work at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, developing talent sources and creating an ongoing pipeline; partners with hiring managers to anticipate hiring needs, including succession planning. This position will manage full cycle recruitment to include sourcing, scheduling, interviewing, facilitating and managing the onboarding process.

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in a related field; Certification in Recruitment or Human Resources preferred
- At least 6 years of talent acquisition level experience conducting effective sourcing / full-cycle recruiting for a variety of clinical, professional, technical, management, and support positions
- Healthcare industry or related field preferred
- Agency recruiting/sourcing experience preferred
- Extensive experience using Applicant Tracking Systems
- Experience with and knowledge of sourcing effectiveness, screening, interviewing selection, and candidate assessment techniques
- Experience creating or leveraging marketing/advertising, social media, and other industry best practices to develop effective sourcing strategies
- Partner with HR Manager to implement intentional and results-oriented inclusive recruitment strategies with the goal of our employee population reflecting the communities we serve
- Ability and willingness to travel within Los Angeles County as needed
About the position:
- Write and coordinate internal and external job postings based on job descriptions, and develop creative recruitment programs and marketing materials consistent with Planned Parenthood Los Angeles branding and messaging guidelines
- Manage full cycle recruitment to include employees’ onboarding
- Timely recruiting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of applicants for positions in the organization
- Use behavioral-based interview techniques to assess candidate competency and eliminate unqualified candidates from the hiring process as early as possible
- Communicate the hiring process to candidates and provide timely status updates
- Understand and make approved compensation offers based on the organization’s formal compensation guidelines
- Stay current with industry trends, economic conditions, and other variables that may motivate candidates to seek career opportunities elsewhere
- Develop and maintain a network and database of potential candidates for future needs, including a pipeline of passive candidates
- Develop strategic outreach plans and processes to ensure a diverse candidate pool, to include attending career fairs and professional events to develop relationships
- Work closely with the HR team and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop proactive, innovative sourcing/recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent
- Promote PPLA’s employee referral bonus program
- Enter and maintain current, accurate, and consistent information in the applicant tracking system, including but not limited to job posting content, applicant status tracking and response, anecdotal information and other required data
- Develop and execute a proactive, innovative, cost-effective recruitment/sourcing strategy to target a diverse pool of qualified applicants for vacancies
- Participate in job fairs, open houses. Develop relationships with vocational school/colleges to conduct on-campus interviews
- Prioritize and successfully collaborate with hiring managers for optimal responsiveness and timeliness
- Perform reference and background checks, verification of licensure, and/or certification per PPLA policy
- Manage preferred vendor relationships including monitoring hours worked by contract employees to affect complementary transition to FT employment, as needed
- Compile and analyze information concerning turnovers and other recruitment statistics
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports as assigned
- Maintain thorough documentation
- Ensure recruitment efforts support Agency’s ITT Service Standards and Workplace Values
