SUMMARY:
Placer.ai is entering a hyper-growth period after its April close of series B financing, and is getting ready to double its size from 150 to 300 employees over the next year. We expect to grow at this pace over the next several years. The Head of Talent Acquisition will own talent acquisition at Placer.ai across all business departments, including sales, sales development, customer success, support, marketing and operations. We are looking for a seasoned Talent Acquisition leader with deep experience in sourcing and recruiting. The ideal candidate has previously built and managed a sourcing and recruiting function at fast-paced, growth-stage startups. We expect you to help with the recruitment of dozens of candidates from the moment you join, rolling up your sleeves to source and recruit yourself, while also building out a sourcing team. As we grow, the role will evolve to build a complete in-house recruitment team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and manage the full recruitment life cycle, including sourcing, scheduling, screening, and interviewing candidates across all business departments.
- Partner with Placer.ai’s executives, and with hiring managers, to implement and execute effective sourcing strategies to recruit diverse and top industry talent.
- Own candidate sourcing at Placer.ai. Hire, manage and lead sourcers to generate Placer.ai’s top-of-funnel candidate list.
- Screen all candidates for fit per role requirement so hiring managers only get qualified candidates to interview.
- Deliver interview training and coaching to management on hiring best practices.
- Design and execute a delightful candidate experience at Placer.ai.
- Own all recruiting systems at Placer.ai from strategy through day-to-day management.
- Foster diversity and fairness in Placer.ai’s recruiting.
- Manage weekly recruitment reporting processes. Develop, track, and analyze critical hiring statistics, hiring trends, and results for continuous improvement of strategies and processes.
- Maintain candidate pipelines for all positions, anticipate future hiring demands, and update accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Track record of successfully building a talent acquisition program from the ground up, ideally at a high-growth SaaS startup.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully sourcing passive candidates; proven experience in building a sourcing function, including training and managing of sourcers.
- Strong people skills, and demonstrated ability to close candidates.
- Experience building processes and screening candidates for business roles.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Skilled in interviewing techniques.
- Ability and willingness to recruit within a lean environment that does not heavily rely on agencies or administrative support.
- Data-Driven Mindset, using data to inform point of view, drive strategy, influence decisions, and bring others along.
- Experience partnering with and influencing hiring managers; strong follow-up skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup environment.
