White House counsel looks into Ric Grenell allegations. Axios reported on a text message allegedly showing former Kennedy Center chief Ric Grenell offering a Turkish billionaire access to "POTUS," VIP events and officials in exchange for payment. The White House counsel's office is investigating, amid an escalating public feud between Grenell and Alina Habba over a reportedly missing $5.6 million Kennedy Center donation. Grenell called the accusations "lies" and denied sending the message.
Trump says someone else should negotiate for Ukraine. President Trump told reporters that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should have settled the war long ago and that "it's time for somebody else" to negotiate on Ukraine's behalf. The remarks came ahead of a planned meeting in Norway between Zelensky and U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff, with Jared Kushner joining remotely.
