County takes over Irvine's long-delayed Be Well mental health campus. Orange County announced Tuesday, October 6, that it has ended its partnership with Mind OC, the nonprofit that does business as Be Well OC, as part of a legal settlement, LAist reported. The OC Health Care Agency now takes full control of the Be Well campuses in Orange and Irvine. The Irvine campus, a $118 million project on 22 acres of county-owned land near the Great Park, was originally expected to open in the spring, but its opening was delayed by the dispute, according to the Orange County Business Journal. The county filed a lawsuit in March accusing Mind OC of squandering more than $60 million in public funds; the nonprofit had earlier accused the county of violating its lease for the Orange campus. The county says it will launch services at the Irvine campus "as soon as possible," including crisis stabilization, residential treatment and substance use recovery, and will rebrand both campuses under a new county-owned name. "We finally secured the keys and can open the Irvine campus so children and families facing a behavioral health crisis get the care they need closer to home," Supervisor Katrina Foley said.

이에 따라 OC 보건국(Health Care Agency)이 Orange와 Irvine의 Be Well 캠퍼스를 직접 관리하게 된다.
